ABOUT ME

I am a qualified conservator at the start of my career, with a growing portfolio of archaeological and historical objects. I am seeking to learn as much as I can in order to further my career in conservation. Conservation is an often unknown, yet essential part of cultural heritage, that I am keen to make people more aware of. I am a hard-working, dedicated, and responsible individual who loves to learn. I have excellent time management and organisational skills, and a practical and methodical approach to my work. My intercultural upbringing- in the USA and Singapore, enables me to provide a unique and novel perspective.

WHAT I'VE DONE

Following an Archaeology BSc at the University of Durham, I undertook a Master's in Conservation of Archaeological and Museum Objects at the same university. As part of the degree, I completed a nine-month work placement at the Bevaringscenter Fyn, a commercial conservation laboratory in Denmark, and worked on a wide variety of objects and materials. Since graduating, I have worked for the  National Trust as a conservation assistant for the English Riviera portfolio. Plus, I worked as a cook for two seasons at a ranch in Montana, USA. I was the Metals Conservation Intern with the Royal Collection Trust, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars. In addition to the objects below, I have installed and uninstalled exhibitions, prepared objects for loans, packed and moved objects, treated a variety  of  mixed media objects, and liaised and worked with other conservators for large projects. Most recently, I was at the Imperial War Museum (London) working as a Project Delivery Assistant, helping to reinstall one of the permanent galleries. Additionally, I move objects to and from store and between sites, often handling hazardous or licensed material, and doing object data reconciliation.
